…which sure seems to recognize that there is a threat from russia that needs deterrence, and that NATO is the thing that deters it. I recognize that no country will attack a nuclear power. NATOs role is applying nuclear power to countries that not having it. Nuclear weapons make the stalemate, until one crazy guy makes the move. The thing is that we are back in the cold war era of thinking again. Like no real progress ever made in humanity.

Thats why I'm not picking sides. It doesn't really matter and i don't have to. If they start the shit its the same for everybody.

The tariff on Steel in USA is very very old (1800s). It was to protect their own production, which would plummet if the tariff was not existed. I think after WW2 remained very low (5%), only to reappear temporarily in 2000s and permanently with the 1st Trump presidency, which Biden kept and now Trump has doubled.

Ofc the reappear of tariffs on Steel made the Steel prices get higher (huge spikes after new tariffs and higher average price in the long term) and all the products made of it. So prepare for American cars price hike.

NATO? Wants to keep things how they are? With USA major part of it? No one wants to keep thing how they are. Everyone wants more.

Russia will not invade a NATO country because the risk is too high (Europe has nukes). It's just an exsuse to drive the world in an arms race and a cold war 2.

WW3 won't be about what regime governs what, but if human civilisation will survive.

Picking sides brings nothing. I always side with the defenders, no matter what. Putting NATO as defenders is a huge talk.

I really want to see how a war between nuclear powers will play. Maybe then you all will understand my point of view.

0.5% GDP in what period? Because if it is yearly, it's a lot. Any source?

Because money is money. Europe has done worse in the past. Well we continue to do, if you think about some countries in the middle east.

I don't know. This show looks like how to avoid bullets. We gained nothing. We just avoided the 30% tariff with a 15% one.

What's in the EU-US trade deal?

"We are agreeing that the tariff straight across, for automobiles and everything else, will be a straight across tariff of 15%," according to Trump.

Currently, most EU goods face a 10% tariff, with levies of 50% on steel and aluminum. Cars and car parts are now taxed at 25%.

Trump also said the bloc had agreed to purchase "$750 billion (€638 billion) worth of energy" from his country, as well as $600 billion more in additional investments.

The president told reporters at the start of the meeting that fairness was the main remaining sticking point.

"Europe is very closed. We don't sell cars into Europe. We don't sell essentially agriculture of any great degree," he said, adding that pharmaceuticals "won't be part of" any agreement.
