Y'all act like that can't happen on Lemmy. The total score is already visible via API. Nothing's stopping a community from running a bot that auto removes anyone below a threshold. It's entirely possible right now to write that code.

There's an old saying to "read the room". It's the same online and offline. The reaction you get depends entirely on the audience present.
Yeah, and what else did the voices in your head say?
Nah fuck antivaxers. Cry about it
The speech bubble says "I'll come to you" and the text under the face says "Win a visit from Davis". It's an older meme that's been reuploaded it seems.
Jpeg artifacting from saving and reuploading again and again is like seeing meme erosion. Like seeing the weathered effects of time but in a digital form. I kind of dig it in a way.
I feel attacked
I wonder if they'll renew the twitter.com domain name
You sonuva bitch 😂
We have >750 military bases around the world so that we can intimidate other countries into doing what we want, which is both wasteful and evil.
The US military is the most efficient global logistical operation ever. Open up flghtradar sometime and just look at how many military planes are moving tons of equipment and resources every hour of every day. You don't achieve a global logistics network without those bases. To claim it's just for intimidation and wasted is laughably naive.
If your origin servers IP is never revealed then all traffic goes through cloudflare regardless. Firewall restricting the IPs is just good practice since cloudflare is the only IP that is supposed to talk to that server anyway, but it's not a requirement.
I can see some overhead if you're maintaining a large blacklist, but I don't see it happening with a small whitelist and default inbound DROP
Lemmy also has this and everyone's point totals are visible from the API. If you're not seeing it, that's because your client is hiding it, not because it doesn't exist.
