I am entering passwords in plaintext as environment variables for docker.

I use a lot of programming and sef hosting things at home. I have to enter passwords and write basic text files which have to be accurately read by all devices.

I, for the life of me, could not manage to solve a problem about a password. I tried many forums and what not and eventually a person on one of the forum said that my syntax is incorrect. I was so confused because I have done the exact same thing hundreds of times and it never caused an issue.

What I wanted to write was (quotes are a part of it) 'xyz'. This is what my PC writes. iOS decides that it should be ‘xyz’. There is a subtle difference in the quotes if you look carefully.

I wanted to trash by iPhone and buy an Android so bad at that moment.

Anyways that setting can be changed by turning off smart punctuation in keyboard settings. But the point is trashy defaults with no clear communication about it.

This whole post might be stupid and petty but it is pushing me to stop using everything Apple.

I tried it on iPhone and iPad (developer beta 4)

Honestly, the only feature worth the upgrade for me was ability to force add any website as a PWA. Other decent features were pinning folder to dock and using a custom wallpaper for chats.

The downsides were massive for me-

  1. iPad is basically not a multitasking device anymore. It hangs or lags with screen manager and the new mode. And there is no option to move back to the old mode.
  2. The performance overall was sluggish which might be fixed in future betas.
  3. New UI visuals are flashy and okay but definitely not anything that warrants an update.
  4. The preview app is pointless. The files app already did everything that the app did, without the added load.

This would be the first major update that I will be skipping. I will keep my devices on iOS 18 till they die. I have never had to do this before.

That's my whole point, only money has been given. US troops should have been deployed to Ukraine.

No, but they did promise protection. So far, there has been no protection given, only money.

Problem with talking about USA in this conflict is everytime immediately assumes that anyone accusing USA of anything is automatically supporting Russia.

Did I stutter?

It is not possible to do that. I cannot sleep when pasta is around. I must have it all inside my tummy.

Congratulations nonetheless. Everyone fucks up the first time. They will get it the next time.

NATO expansionism is the root cause of this war. NATO instigated this war and Russia got baited.

I agree with you on this but with some nuance. This thinking is correct and should be used on individual level. However, time has shown us that most humans are stupid and will resort to herd mentality. So, the pride quickly turns into nationalism.

We are talking about the war/defence industry which is a much newer thing when countries started selling weapons and such to other countries on a large scale and during their own non-war times, like the last 50 years of American history. If countries sold weapons to each other during WW2, it was because they were involved in the war themselves. Nowadays, it is just selling weapons and watching others burn each other down.

Predictions have been going on since forever about so many things. Doesn't make it any truer. China is going to annex Taiwan, Russia is going to attack Europe, Iran is weeks away from nukes. Funnily, there are no predictions about USA doing stuff.

This is the whole point of resistance. Standing up to wrong is resistance, even if it needs sacrifice
