Did this with one my OG gameboy colors. Its a very cool mod that makes me want to start scouring eBay for old cartridges.
I feel like the only downside would be the ethics(or lack of) involved in making it cost effective. You would probably need to leverage drop shipping from manufacturers with questionable labor practices.
