I have traveled the world, I just returned from China. Nobody has ever asked for my phone. This is crazy and it's definitely not the norm and is not happening even in very strict regime countries. This is the new USA.

MikroTik now has a PeerTube instance (tiktube.com)
 

Currently in early test phase, it's hosted on a 100% MikroTik system, the service runs on a RDS and the storage is a RDS minio cluster. If it all works out, we will migrate older videos too.

Here in europe we turn off the wifi intentionally when at home, since 5G is often faster
