As I said, you are in part driven by a simplified view of a complicated conflict. You might want to read up on some history to find out why jews chose to leave their homes in Russia, Europe, Northern-Africa and the Ottoman Empire to congregate in one small part of the latter, where some of them already lived. That's a bit different from, let's say, Morocco walking into the Western Sahara to plant their flag.

Iran is shipping munitions into Lebanon, which are then fired across the border on Israeli villages, but it's only escalation if they shoot back?

That's the mindset of the schoolyard bully that keeps spitting on someone and then says the other kid 'escalated' by kicking him in the nuts

I see you've moved on from "totally not escalating friendly shelling across the border" to "simplified one-sided recording of complicated history so actually everything they do is totally ok"

If that's your real argument, why even bother to start with the other?

So if you start shitting in my front yard, and in response I start shitting in yours, you're saying the blame falls on me because after a few days you have more shit in your yard?

So as long as Hezbollah is only shelling those 100.000 people living closest to the border, Israel should consider it a friendly ping-pong match?

Or with Martians? The point is they mostly care about this particular conflict is because it's muslims that are getting slaughtered

How is Hezbollah attacking Israel 'to keep them busy' supposed to keep things from escalating?

According to an article in the Guardian, the guy and a couple of his friends were called by one of their moms who had an argument on a plane, so they went to the airport to beat up some people. Cops arrive to arrest them and they start fighting the cops.

Sure he'll be fired and charged. But it's a bit of a stretch to expect someone who's just had to fight off a group of lunatics to just flip the adrenaline switch and turn into an office clerk in two seconds

Do you believe the guy that punched the cop on her head should be charged with attempted manslaughter as well?
