I would have to say that it is not getting worse, its just never been very good.

Just download a copy. Someone already did the leg work and probably did a better job than you could, without serious effort.

I don't listen to cultists...or their leaders.

Ah, yes, not 100% of the time. You know, like Windows. Thanks for the laugh.

They already started using Linux.

I agree. I am a techie, have been following Lemmy for quite a while before the Reddit exodus. When I made my account, first I had to understand that each instance manages its own accounts and there are many instances. My initial thought was to look for one of the higher population instances, but I read that this was not necessarily the best idea. Then I searched out why its better to pick an instance outside the high population ones and that whatever instance I picked, I could view/comment/vote on posts from other instances. I don't have a problem doing research, but I don't know anyone who is not a techie that would continue past my first question, and that is a serious problem for adoption.

We dress our skeleton up as Santa for Christmas. Looks great with the glowing red eyes.

I'm interested in new distributions, but it really needs to do something new. Different default packages with a handful of custom things on top of an existing distro just doesn't cut it. Give me a NixOS, Puppy Linux, ReactOS(I know it's not a distro) or something else unique. I'm tired of Debian/Ubuntu based distros, if I wanted Debian or Ubuntu, I would use them.

Hmm. The McDonalds in my town had a small fire in the kitchen in 2020. It has been surrounded by "Reopening soon" signs since then. Color me sceptical.

Shmuck on a duck?

Commission is wrapped up in the sale price, not a separate payment to the employee that I decided upon. The company takes payment and then they pay the employee. This also makes sure the employee is not getting stiffed.

Yes. It's extremely common to have some device that asks you how much you want to tip before you can complete the transaction. They are nearly always placed in a spot and angled so the employees can see it too, guilting customers in to tipping.
