Unfortunately, freetube development has gone stale and i keep getting random errors every now and then. I started using piped recently, but all their instances are now rate limited... so hopefully someone will pick up freetube development again (or release a similar client for desktop, perhaps based on the pipeextractor)

Zsh does the same, though I think you need oh my zsh and a plugin for it.

I believe it is the same mod/framework as the halo MCC split screen so you might have a bas time.

The official reason they gave for the takedown is also false. They claimed that invidious is using the youtube api without permission, which it isn't.

To me, noob implies not only lack of experience but also lack of skill, so yeah in that sense I would say it does discount you somewhat ^^

Do learn python, you'll pick it up super easily and will be amazed by the simplicity of the syntax (but perhaps also slightly grossed out by the duck typing and use of whitespace as syntax)

Do you have a link to the infinity for everything repository? I can't seem to find it

True, the native app for Android TV also has some issues with certain audio codecs although I believe it does have subtitle selection. I had the luxury of being able to choose a TV specifically for gaming as well as Jellyfin so getting one with android TV was a nobrainer and I am happily using Kodi now. Let's hope the native apps mature enough to make them feasible alternatives :)

Interesting. I on the other hand find the plex interface quite ugly - beside the fact that it's not foss. Kodi has the advantage of skin support, I am using it with the embuary skin and it looks nice and does everything I want it to. I have also been using Jellyfin for the last 2 years or so, why do you say it needs to be more useable?

I'm curious, what do you dislike about Kodi? Is it just that you want a light player to use with mouse and keyboard while sitting at your desk?
