I listen to the news almost every day and missed that. I guess it shows how bad things are that it didn't make the news...

One person on board with her is a European Union member of parliament from France. That provides a lot more protection than Greta's reputation can.

For cameras, the convention is Z depth but right handed:

  • X rightward / pixel column from the left
  • Y downward / pixel row from the top

As an engineer, Z up right handed is the only one that makes sense. All engineering follows this convention, motion sensors (example) or GPS topography will use that.

Cameras calibrations also use right hand but typically rotated such that it's X right, Y down, Z depth. That way, the projection formula give the pixels column, row and depth values.

Most of the interesting channels I follow seem to rely on sponsorship, donations or merchandising. For specialized subjects, the youtube algorithm doesn't acknowledge the value of the audience in terms of advertising (ex: tool brand for car channel).

Great list, thank! Have you seen children of the whale ? If my memory is correct it could make it on this list. Also I don't recall any weird stuff in Arcane season 1 (does it qualify as an anime though?).

Afaik, Macron is relatively highly regarded in Europe

Is he ? I might be biased by french media, but I don't feel like he is highly regarded by foreign politicians. Liberal media like him because he is one of the last few good looking and good sounding proponents of their ideas.

I believe @Dojan was referencing the Puritans, not the founding fathers.

It's a misconception/misrepresentation that they are more uneducated or idiotic than average. They may look like it (or the media make them so), but actual idiots wouldn't be as capable as they are to push their agenda forward.

Shame they didn't join effort on servo. AFAIK there is nothing wrong with it except for the fact they are not familiar with rust.

No, they are the system, and the system is held together by the law.

technology is still advancing

Actually not really: performance per watt of the high end stuff has been stagnating since Ampere generation. NVidia hides it by changing models in its benchmarks or advertising raw performance without power figures.

Hadn't bought a new laptop in a while. I wasn't expecting power efficiency to be that good! This is on a Lenovo Yoga Pro 7.

  • Gnome DE
  • With wifi up
  • Backlight around 10% (LCD panel)
  • tlp running with acpi-cpufreq with powersave scheduler
