Yeah I’m a pretty strong swimmer, grew up with a pool and set a record in freestyle at a high school pool when I was in 8th grade. I also grew up with twin cousin swim team guys to chase around the pool and play tag/dunk/wedgie/pants generally torture each other.

I’m also 6’3 and fairly strong, but waterpolo players are nuts. It’s a lot like lacrosse, where there are tons of dirty tricks that can be hidden from refs and really hurt. I played both sports a few times with seasoned players, never again. Especially lacrosse my elbows still hurt thinking about it 20 years ago.

There has been a problem with owners not charging PHEVs.

But I suspect the main reason is profit margins. Companies learned that selling fewer premium products could be more profitable than selling lots of cheaper models with tighter margins.

So they all basically fucked on out of the cheap car market. Except for Hyundai/Kia, Mitsubishi and Nissan, you can’t really buy an econobox anymore.

PHEVs are like high end econoboxes with an expensive mix of technologies that make margins too thin. Which sucks because I live in a cold climate and have long weekend drives to help family and occasional traveling jobs that make a hybrid the best choice for the time being.

kWh/Kg is really all that matters, maybe max charge/discharge rates too.

But they aren’t clickbatey enough for commercial news.

Careful a lot of them will still vote for him.

[According to] Ange-Marie Hancock, director of the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity at The Ohio State University. She also happens to lead a group of scholars studying the current vice presidency. Their work is called the Kamala Harris Project…

what's interesting about how it impacts swing voters or independent voters is certainly on the surface, if you were to survey independent voters or swing voters, I bet you would get a strong majority who would say, we really don't like that kind of language. We really don't like the way in which he talks about women or talks about his opponents in that kind of way. The challenge of course, is that many political psychologists have found that even as we kind of consciously say, we don't agree with it, it still ends up having a negative impact.”

From Consider This from NPR: Kamala Harris already faces racism and sexism from Trump and Republicans, Jul 24, 2024 https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/consider-this-from-npr/id1503226625?i=1000663256947

There’s a deeper explanation in that (short) podcast in case anyone is curious.

If it was encoded as super low framerate 360deg video files and you just seek to the place in the stream that matches the coordinates, it could use kits stage and bandwidth than other solutions, but it’s still going to be a lot of bytes.

He would have yelled Heinz repeatedly at the audience anyway.

Heinz Shitler

Add it to that list if nicknames.

18? Ha, it’s closer to 30% for lots of us. They only loads it to the teens for people who aren’t carrying balances.
