One point I’ve brought up successfully with a Trumpy acquaintance has been how big Agri business relies so much on illegal workers (throw child labor in there too when they talk about pedos). I ask him why if politicians complain so much, why didn’t they really do anything to stop the demand for undocumented workers when they had the power? Then ask him if he likes cheap fruit and chicken, and how Tyson and Dole would have to double or triple the prices of it all if they paid a fair wage.

Unfortunately, He usually shuts up and says Hunter probably cashed in on it too or some other bullshit, but I can see some gears grinding over when it hits him at first.

That’s why oil should have the cost of climate change and healthcare from pollution added to it. If oil was as expensive as the true cost, we’d have ditched it decades ago.

And Nixon getting away with everything, is also why we are where we are now too.

If the judges don’t fuck up the timeline and he loses, we’re probably ok for 4 more years (maybe longer if the trials scare off future fascist wannabes), but we need better voting rights, Supreme Court oversight and smarter voters before we can relax and not worry as much.

Entertainers could be an exception to the evil billionaire rule, but even Swift was doing things like renting out her jet, and her shows have a huge carbon footprint as well.

If she were paying for the pollution, the profit margins wouldn’t be so high.

Also we just need to tax most of the income over $1 million a year. Like we did before the 80s greed is good bullshit started.

They’re going to get more useful data from users they know everything about (threads users) interacting with us, than just scraping with an instance.

The American stereotype? Definitely an American stereotype (monopoly guy shithead), but there’s also broke ass honky, California dude, and cowboy goat fuckers.

It’s a big place.

This album, Amon Tobin, Kid Koala, and RJD2 got me through a lot of late night projects in college.

I don’t miss the late nights, but I’ve missed the music. Time to fire up the old laptop and see what’s still on there.

Yeah we need e-mopeds. In my state under 50cc doesn’t need a reg or license to ride on roads. Some of the spicier 49ccs can do 45-50mph. Electric equivalents would be nice, but I’m worried they will be difficult to fit weight and space wise on a bike frame. A used Puch or Moped frame would be better maybe.

I also live in a rural sidewalk-less town and am thinking of building something similar, but I haven’t done any work on power requirements or range yet. Let us know how it works out.

Their neighbor to the north—Maine—successfully passed it, but guess which party has been trying to revoke it or stymie it at every turn?

That illustration in the video is bonkers. Looks like someone asked an AI to make a mashup of Putin and Trump. Is that what Donnie thinks he looks like?

Sourcetree best for free, thanks bit bucket.

Tower is pretty nice for mac user too. I paid for it for a few versions back when I was coding full time. Now I just stuck to source tree for occasional freelance and personal projects.

Yeah my crust game has improved and I copied/improved a crust seasoning based on one from King Arthur’s Flour.

Brushed olive oil, seasoning and some brewers/nutritional yeast make really great breadsticks. And I can do it in about 30 minutes start to finish (plus a little more oven preheat time).
