He’s still not Trump though, who’d let the genie continue and speed up the one in Ukraine, and likely allow a new one in at least Taiwan (but probably other Chinese and Russian desired countries too).
Once you’re north of Maryland, Dunkin Donuts takes over. I didn’t know what Waffle House was until visiting an in-law in VA in my 20s. Grew up in the upper Midwest and New England.
Sure we have plenty of high-hanging fruit:
- antiquated voting laws
- asymmetrical representation
- oligarchy via political funding
- military industrial complex
But we didn’t start a world war that killed millions of people, that we’re still digging up unexploded munitions from, and that gave us the ability to fix some of our governmental systems and implement social and societal change (at least for white European folks).
As the owner of a German car from 91 with the wide license plate mount molded into the bumper; The urge to get a sauerkraut plate with something car-nerdy on it is strong, but I’m still resisting, for now.
