Void's xfce desktop release is awesome for old hardware but it takes a bit to setup.

The 10min minimum is why I pretty much stopped posting. If you don't provide enough viewing time for 2 pre-rolls and one intermission your revenue per 1k views drops off and you don't get promoted to new viewers.

This is the way. After your first "Hello World" you have to set a goal and learn the techniques required as you go!

Having even the slightest technical barrier to entry is a quick way to increase the quality of user-user experience. It takes a dedicated shit-poster to troll a brand new platform with a reduced audience and unusual community layout.

Unified is bad, always. If you need examples look at Windows, Android, iOS, Facebook, Amazon. Having a large selection roughly equal options promotes improvement AND cooperation. For example the Linux ecosystem is made up of hundreds of distributions that make a number of major choices about their systems but still allow the user to run the same software.

Ultralight hardware.

The eye-brain system is totally analog. The shortest perceivable events have to do with how bright they are and how depleted the photo-receptors are in your retina. You could see a single 1/1000s pulse in a dark room but a 1kHz square wave would appear to be a continuous light.

WiFi/Cell phones give you cancer. Both devices operated in the microwave spectrum, at or below 1 watt of power. That's about the same amount of power as the flashlight on your phone but in a wavelength so unenergetic that you can't even see it. You could put the phone in your mouth and get absorb less energy than just walking outside into the sun.

apt just works, damnit! If you don't make a FrankenDeb install everything is sudo apt install get-stuff-done.

influencers

Anything that can cut down on the ability to monetize a platform is worth it.

It's kinda why I like it. No surprises, it asks you the same dozen questions in the same order and installs your new system.

FFmpeg continues to blow me away with all the formats and operations it supports!
