My server takes about a minute but it's a dual core Atom with 1.8gb of ram >_<
Check eBay for ThinkPads from 2-3 years ago. They are usually from offices, in good shape and reasonably priced. I used a W500 for 10 years with Debian and it was awesome, then I used an X220 for 5 years with no issues at all.
Yup, laptop for testing, old gaming PC for production.
I use NTFY.sh and a few python scripts to let me know about ssh logins, full disks and hosts that stop responding to pings. Very DIY but it works and doesn't rely on outside services.
I've been running Deb 12 on my laptop for a year and a half and it's good. The one issue I have had is directly related to being on brand new hardware that wasn't supported yet by the kernel. Before that I ran 9, 10 and 11 with zero issues on laptops and desktops.
I've been running Void on a dual core Atom with 1862mb of ram. It won't play 1080p video but it will browse the web fine.
Should be They Live glasses not Peter Parker anyway.
I transferred 2 domains to NameCheap and the whole process took less than 2 hrs from first click to done. I messed up my wildcard+DDNS but that wasn't NameCheap's fault and only took a few min to sort out.
I have another domain with NameCheap, they seem ok and I'll probably transfer over to them. Better to make a little extra work for myself than wait for some Google/Squarspace to run me through a ringer.
As much as Alphabet sucks ass, I have had very good results with Nexus/Pixel devices and LineageOS. All the hardware seems to be supported right down to high-framerate mode on the camera on the Pixel2.
The latest The Hobbit(s) were terrible, the old animated film was actually not bad.
