My wife's employment (a national company providing services to homes) not only embraced the remote work that COVID forced her into, they closed down their central customer service call center to save that money.
This year they're talking about taking all the administrative people out of the local offices and only needing the service people pick up supplies and having the remote workers pick up the volume.
Remember when they all claimed they had no problem with LEGAL immigration?

As if the Republicans in Congress would have allowed this impeachment to go through punished. His J6 one while he was found responsible, they chose not to punish him over it. They would have brought up the time that Obama did something similar, too.

It would make more sense to equip it up if they planned on keeping it as Air Force One after Trump leaves office, but they have already said they plan on keeping it with the Trump Presidential Library.. so the U.S. gov will spend all this money on a secure aircraft for a few months before it's decommissioned.. but he's just a CHAMPION of cutting wasteful spending. /s
Most of my random DMs are some sort of business marketing pitch or slow burn confidence scammer. I wouldn't volunteer any real information about yourself until you get to know them better. And even then, especially the crypto scammers, are willing to do the slow burn because they're going for a larger jackpot of your life savings.
I tell everyone "I have a policy for never doing business with anyone I never met face to face."
I also bought a lifetime VPN via StackSocial, and it ended up limiting the VPN to a browser extension. That VPN was IPinator, and it was a helluva time getting that refund because nowhere in the sale did it state the VPN service was only for web browsing. StackSocial and IPinator both pointed fingers at each other as responsible for the refund. Once I posted out to StackSocial that the "satisfaction guarantee" was also posted on their website, it was hard for them to back out and they eventually refunded me the money.
I deleted my bookmark to StackSocial and have never bought from them again.

This is a time where it's hard to be away from politics. I switched to all tech news after the U.S. election, and the tariffs are strongly influencing the supply and demand, and the convict is skewing crypto ponzi schemes in his personal favor which has a lot of influence on hardware. He has Musk that's trying to influence hard on AI which also impacts a lot of our hardware.
Can't fucking get away from it, really.
That's great, hopefully they don't discontinue the line just like Microsoft did with their adaptive mouse.
I don't choose a payment processor over their morality standards. I choose how to spend my own money, not them. They shouldn't have a say in that matter.
