I do not think Google deserves the benefit of the doubt anymore, people need to stop using their services.

Well yes you are right, but being completely pure is borderline impossible IMO, and most people transition slowly.

I think you can configure that some apps can be only accessed by root user while not giving root permissions to a pc usb debugging

If you aren't sure if you can fully degoogle then it a great offer. Unfortunately many apps depend on GSF so its understandable.

Lineage OS is really great, I recommend the forked version with MicroG bundled to use google apps.

Isn't Lemmy suposed to be FOSS? I thought that was the main reason why people left Reddit for Lemmy was that and API changes. Wouldn´t other FOSS be of interestt too? Just a thought.

Absolutley, you are completely correct. I also heard that in some countries microtransaccions that rewarded "Random" items are being prohibited since its the same as gambling. Which in that case suing them for that would make sense.

Maybe those parents will understand if someone tells them that is the same thing as suing as any alcohol brand for their kid's addiction.
