Immersion + flat bottom brewer.

It looks like it'll the normal sized version of the Orea Big Boy.

The base seem to be bottomless but with ridges/teeth around the hole to lift the paper filter.

They removed 'don't be evil' from their code of conduct 5 years ago.

Used thinkpads (like the T480) are a great choice.

I use Manjaro Cinnamon on mine.

The biggest problem is if Google can influence all the major websites (banks, e-commerce, news sites, streaming services, social media, etc) to adopt this standard.

They've done it before with AMP.

I don't follow.

The first line of the comment is: "Mozilla opposes this proposal because it contradicts our principles and vision for the Web."

And the proposal is called: "Web Environment Integrity API"

That looks very good.

Here's how I usually use my brewers now 😅

  • Aeropress: when making stronger coffee base for coffee milk.
  • Hario Switch 03: brewing bigger batch of coffee (400-450gr of coffee)
  • Hario switch + mugen: brewing tea
  • Orea v3 or mugen: brewing single cup coffee

Switch 03 is still the best for brewing more coffee at once.

I also find setting up paper filter with orea is easier because of the negotiator, compared to mugen. But I usually try both when getting new beans. To see which compliments the beans better. Experimenting is part of the fun 😁

But when I can't be bothered and just want a good cup of coffee, aeropress / switch usually give me the most consistent results.
