Sure, no matter the situation, anyone can lie on their taxes. It's a lot easier to get away with it if there's no evidence.

This assumes all the voters would have still come out to vote, and that they would have voted for the 2nd place candidate. There are a lot of people who swing between the PC and Liberals. There are other, weirder swings too. Plus, many people may have found both the 1st and 2nd place candidates undesirable, so even given some sort of RCV, they wouldn't have ranked.

Plus, cash doesn't leave a paper trail. Though I'm sure this pub will accurately report their sales! /s

It's highly debatable whether much money would be saved by eliminating the Catholic school boards. Even in rural/low population areas, there isn't that much duplication of services or schools under capacity that would be fixed by merging. And there's some argument that the two boards create a competition for students.

I will admit, I'm biased because I went to Catholic school and had a good experience. If I ever have children, I'll probably send them to Catholic school, but they're also the better board academically in my area, and are not that religiously crazy. Some Catholic boards in Ontario are just vile! If we were setting up a school system from scratch, of course we'd wouldn't include a Catholic system, but we have to start where we're at.

That's complete BS and you know it. I know that STV isn't your preferred election system, but in every jurisdiction that has switched from FPTP to STV, it has led to more diverse and viable candidates.

If you click on the source, they've put alt text on that image "The Leader Of The Free World Is A Jewish Zionist From Ukraine".

Like every BS conspiracy theory, there is a kernel of truth, but it's exaggerated to a comical extreme. Yes, like pretty much every country, there are some Nazis in Ukraine. The focus from pro-Russian propagandists has often been on the Azov Brigade which IMHO does seems pretty neo-Nazi. However, I also give Ukraine as a whole a bit of a pass because wartime isn't a great time to de-Nazify and restructure your armed forces.

True, but polls show he also became more popular once he stopped making blatantly political moves (Carbon Tax exception for Heating Oil, etc) and started making "the proper call on issues". It might just be a rally-around-the-flag effect with US tariffs & 51st state stuff, but I think it's quite the coincidence!

  1. Elon often travels throughout the globe, as many rich people do.

It's crazy, once he stopped playing politics he became a pretty decent politician!

In some countries it is. I have no idea for Germany, I'm not an expert in Germany election law, are you?
