I need to get more, my last two plastic spatulas broke so it's time to do it guilt free. All the wood.

We have a large window in our living room the cats love but got way too hot. Planted grape vines to cut down on the light back there so we can keep the curtains open but still let the cats see birds.

On the actual "tech" side we've been going the opposite of new things to reduce usage. Wax paper wraps, older wooden everything where possible (cutting boards, furniture, wicker laundry baskets) most of which we got used from my wife's family, those all will get recycled somehow when their time comes.

I'm hoping when our water heater finally goes we can get one of the new heat pump models. Reduce some AC needs and not need a humidifier in the basement (which I try to run as little as possible already).

I'm so jealous :( we just got new windows to improve the insulation rating. I'd love to open them and do the same but I legit start having medical issues over 73° which we hit most days in the summer.

Yes the term exists. I'm saying the term is wrong and shouldn't exist.

My wife is taking a certification test tomorrow morning she's spent like the last four months studying every free moment for.

She's normally super anxious but feels fine. I feel like I'm gonna hurl. So my weekend is chewing my nails while she's in the test and then, uh, "working out" with her since we haven't had time to the past few months. Beyond that, who knows.

Tortilla is absolutely flat bread.

We label foods based upon the number of carb sides.

Open face sandwiches are not a thing. A sandwich requires two non-contiguous opposed bread layers, otherwise it isn't a sandwich. It's a pie. A bottom carb layer with a top layer of substance. Pizza, pie, "open face sandwiches", and French parfait are all pies.

Now, by having only one contiguous bread, but covering three sides, that would put tacos, hotdogs, Philly cheese steaks, and subs all in their own category (arguably a misshapen pie, but that's a deeper debate).

Uh, have you had a food allergy test? Nothing in there should cause problems. It's just a regular bbq plate, but layered. Staple of the South and most don't have problems like that.

A tiramisu is a sweet lasagna. You have alternating layers of carb and sauce and cheese mixture of some kind.

A shepherd's pie is it's own unique thing as there are no alternating layers and the cheese layers are not mandatory.

The French parfait (different from what you're probably thinking) is a flipped shepherd's pie.

The American parfait is lasagna, as it's usually alternating layers of carb, fruits (with their sauce, often very jammy), and not cheese but a dairy mixture still.

A recent study (still in peer review phase last I saw but the people who wrote it and good work) showed that the 1C rise in temperatures vs pre-industrial times (which we're already past) lowered GDP by 12% or more globally. The current 3C that many climate scientists are warning we're on track for could lower GDP by 50% or more.

Not following the Paris accords or stricter is actually going to hit stockholders hard if the study is accurate.

Does being rich cause neurological changes, or do those with those neurological traits by and large try to become wealthy?

Just curious the actual science there. I agree to be that rich shows a lack of empathy one way or another.

He hasn't gotten away with the defamation against E. Jean Caroll I'd argue.
