Music from 1988

Tonight the music seems so loud,
I wish that we could lose this crowd,
Maybe its better this way,
We’d hurt each other with the words we wanna say,

Riverbank to the left of the truck looks messed up. Looks to me like the might have been driving along the waters edge, tried to turn left to get out of the area and the rear end followed gravity and swung down, pointing them how they are now.

A cover of The Standells’ Good Guys (Dont Wear White).

Ive been listening to a lot of Ian MacKaye’s stuff lately - MT, Fugazi, The Evens, Coricky and some other stuff released thru Dischord. Ill post some of the other stuff another time.

Apparently the revolution will be streamed and televised after all.

libs gonna lib, water is wet, hell is hot, etc etc.

Tonight’s the night that we got the truck,
Gonna go downtown, gonna beat up drunks.

Where ya been?
Hey Mister in the mirror where’s my friend?

I got into Luke Bell around 2015/16 back when he took a hiatus from playing music due to some mental health issues dealing with bipolar disorder. He has some music that i really enjoyed and was looking forward to his next release, whenever he was well enough to do so. Around 2020/21 he started coming back around i guess you could say. He wanted to make music again. Unfortunately i think his illness and his circumstances got the better of him. He disappeared, and was found just over a week later, deceased. Ultimately it was blamed on a fent overdose, but it was acknowledged that he had very recently changed medications for BPD.

RIP Luke.

Gotta learn to quit posting anywhere but the GD music sections.

You put the lime in the coconut and call me in the morning.

My answer is yes

Originally written for Diana Ross by the Brothers Gibb. For reasons im too lazy to look up, the song was passed on and reworked for Parton/Rogers into a duet. Recorded in 1983, it spent about half a year (24 weeks) in No 1 position on the Billboard Hot 100.

I really like Sturgil. He is amongst my all time favorites.

Im sorry but I’m just thinking of the right words to say

1980s country gold. I love a rainy night.

When you’re down on your luck,
And you aint got a buck,
In London you’re a goner.

This is from Jerry Jeff Walker’s Viva Terlingua! live album. Gary P Nunn backed JJW as a member of the Lost Gonzo Band. London Homesick Blues was the theme song for Austin City Limits for almost 30 years.
