Aaand, why bother?

It's great for people who don't want to take control of the system part but take control of their data. I installed one on my aunt's PC and she's quite happy with it.

I used to had to login via Teamviewer when something goes wrong, or even worse, describe her to login into tty and give commands to fix the situation. She's been using Linux for almost 9 years now and I did that at least 3 times over the phone. Twice it was Ubuntu that got borked after an update and once it was LMDE.

Last time, I installed Aurora and so far it's been fine. It hasn't been long so I cannot compare and say it's better so ask me 2 years later if you remember. :) (do we have a !remindme bot here?)

However I have a feeling that I won't have to deal with such things anymore.

The article is kinda lame. There is no breeding in any form. Check Conception games, that's breeding.

Anyway, the game is great and fun. I saw many people saying "either stay F2P or go whale" and I agree. There is no reason to spend money on it. Progression speed is fine in my opinion.

I don't even watch real horse racing and now I see why some people enjoy it. Horse-girls are more fun though, since it has a lot of story elements.

Don't be. :)

If it works for you, it works. I use my GPUs until they die. Nothing wrong with being a patient gamer.

I like detailed simulations like that. By the way, got the Community of Planets edition. Though I have no idea when will I be able to start playing.

Yeah, it is. There is even a cloud sync feature now (though it's still in beta, mostly works). Only thing missing is limiting download speed. Apparently GOG need to do that through gogdl.

You got me at Mount & Blade. I also played 100s of hours of Elite Dangerous, though they seem quite different.

Time tracking and achievements work for me. You might need to update GOG reditrubutables package though Heroic should do it automatically.

Apparently it was on felony strike.

Heh, my main machine still has 1660 Ti. I wouldn't say it's low end. It's better than 3050.

At least we can buy Baldur's Gate 3 on GOG.

Something like nvtop perhaps?

There is a problem with GTX 1xxx cards (1660Ti in my case) running Proton 8+ for quite some time due to Nvidia driver, they're unusable. Because of this even Experimental and GE branches are useless for me.

To be fair, Proton 7 is mostly enough. However, I cannot play one of my games after its update and it's working fine with Proton 8 according to other people.

So, is there a workaround for this or I should wait for Nvidia's Vulkan updates?

Don't know if we already have this but if not, this could be a new breath for running away from Google's polluted, hard to find any real useful stuff SEO World. With Kagi's optimization for activity pub, it's easier to find content within the Federation. With a blog system that supports activity pub, people can get interaction from Mastodon, Lemmy, PeerTube etc. And the best part is, you can do all these stuff with your self-hosted sites.

If we already have this, please let me know.
