Because the sun isn't a point source, they're still coming in from different directions depending on what part of the sun they originated from. The sun is far as hell but it's also big as hell.

Yeah agreed. To me, the idea that he'll win nonzero electoral votes, or be pulling them from Biden instead of Trump if that happens, seems highly highly unlikely. But it's still notable that she's explicitly in favor of the idea that he should be in the race to swing the election to Trump, and that means winning.

I also like the little fascist overtone "Are there any QUEERS in the theater tonight?" type question.

Search deep within yourself of what you know of the American state

You know which is the answer

It has been with you, all this time

Oh, I was meaning in terms of "you have to pay for it" -- yes, you're 100% right, you don't have to be on the $20/month thing in order to use GPT-4 on the API.

You gave me a for real doubletake like "WTF, am I logged into Twitter for some reason?"

I am not; you just have to click. Even works through Tor if you don't want to go into their analytics. And it's a video.

Crystal Mason should have been allowed to give a victim impact statement

Bernie Sanders has been vocal about the atrocities committed by Israel, and would have been the nominee twice if he wasn't fucked over by the party. I feel like he would have done an infinitely better job tackling the problems of the world today.

Yeah that's fair. 100% agreed on all fronts. He's been talking about this since decades ago, too.

I'm glad Biden is talking about student loan relief

You know he's doing more than talking about it, right?

Well, they do reduce wages based on anything and everything that they can get away with. If they're already getting away with paying people $10/hr or whatever, I think it's easily plausible that they would realize they can now get away with paying them minimum wage. I don't think it's instantly rich people propaganda or a silly concern. Like for example, Wal-Mart among other places definitely pays less because they've factored in that people can go on government assistance and stay just barely above water even receiving drowning wages.

Like I say, I don't think it'll work out this way in practice (in fact I would expect that it would raise wages because it would reduce people's desperation and give them options beyond just taking whatever they could find for as many hours as they can stay awake) and it seems on the limited test like it doesn't. But it doesn't strike me as automatically a weird question or anything.

He means reduce wages by $500/month to account for the existence of the program

It's a valid question I think; I kind of suspect that it doesn't work that way (that the outcome would be more similar to "wah nobody wants to work for $12/hr anymore" and no workers), but I don't know enough to say for sure.

Don't forget "we have detected suspicious activity coming from your system" and "there was an error constructing a response" (or whatever the wording is) which form roughly one-third and one-third respectively of the responses I get from it, along with the one-third that are successful responses.

You know his career has been going on for longer than just the past year right?

Yes, which is why I brought up his furious early-BLM-days coverage of police shootings, back before it was a mainstream position, and his resignation from Comedy Central and his activism for the 9/11 firefighters and the other stuff he did like 5-10 years ago.

People can do good and bad things and people dislike him for doing bad things for the last 20 years.

Sure. What bad stuff has he done, to counterbalance the stuff I'm talking about which puts him in the 99th percentile of people who are in the public eye in any capacity talking about politics?

He was shitting on Bernie sanders

The fuck you talking about

For convenience here's a bit of the transcript:

"But the real difference is, Hillary has professional image handlers... Telling her to comb her hair... Today... And tomorrow... Make it a regular thing. And Hillary: Instead of using your actual voice, make it sound like you're from whatever region it is you're talking to."

(Shows a clip of Clinton talking in a southern accent when talking to a southern audience)

"The problem isn't Bernie Sanders is a crazy pants cuckoo bird, it's all we've become so accustomed to stage managed, focus-driven candidates that authenticity comes across as lunacy."

(Shows a clip of someone calling Bernie Sanders the most unusual candidate we've seen in a long time)

"If by unusual you mean honestly representing himself and his beliefs rather than playing a cynical political game."

and has always supported right wing democrats

The fuck you talking about

Like also... the story about the Biden adminstration that you can get to by clicking on the link up at the top of the article up there?

have hamstrung leftist in this country for a long time

What in the name of God loving fuck are you talking about

Like who? What leftists did he hamstring and how?

And democrats aren't fucking leftist, if your party is pro Capitalism then it's a right wing party.

Agreed. This is literally the only sentence of your message that's not coming from some bizarro world.
