My favourite genres are action RPG (Skyrim, Gothic, The Witcher, New Vegas), turn based tactical games (Divinity Original Sin, XCOM) and roguelikes (Cobalt Core, Hades, Slay the Spire, Monster Train). I play other genres as well but those are my favourite. I assume your favourite genre is horror? 
I actually played Tails of Iron this year and finished it. It's a great game, I'm looking forward to the sequel. Glory to the Moleshevik Republic! 
If you like FTL, I recommend Cobalt Core. It's a 10/10 game, worth buying even at full price.

Just pulled the trigger on my Steam sale purchase. Got 10 games for 50 bucks so my brain is giving me the good chemical because of the round numbers
