No, mainly because they're pumping out too many services. Also free VPNs just sound really sketchy to me.

How do they survey you without windows though? Do you think they use Linux?

When you're called a coward you know it's a W because it just means you don't want to be dragged down to their level

Decentralized dating apps is a good way to make women feel incredibly unsafe. Not only is the fedi a more techy nerd crowd, it also has massive moderation issues. It's one bad thing to spam an instance with CP. It's even worse when you can make a fake profile to stalk someone with zero accountability and potentially put them in physical danger, while also being unbannable. I'm sure a rapist/stalker/murderer would totally be stopped by defederating their instance, right? They'd just spam multiple accounts for their target.

Moderation is extremely important here, and so is attracting a crowd which makes or breaks it, which the fedi is 100% not going to ever do. How would the fedi and developers respond if there was even a single rape/murder as a result of their platform and weak moderation? The whole thing would probably collapse.

Meet up groups are similar but not as targeted. That wouldn't be a bad idea though, since I guess someone leaving up a poster in town or something is kind of a form of that.

It would be an instant buy for me, especially since it wouldn't be as locked down and work better with Linux. I'll deal with the software issues later, gimmie now!

Silicon like usual thinking these things are as big as the invention as the internet, and trying to get their money in there the first place. AI was and still is a massive game changer, but nothing can live up to the hype of which they throw a stupid amount of money at these things. They didn't learn their lesson after crypto or the "metaverse" either lol. I see AI being a tool, an incredibly useful one. That also means it has a lot of jobs it simply can't do. It can't replace artists, but artists can use it as a tool to help them work off of things.

Social engineering will definitely be involved, but usually when you request deletion they take like a week or so to process so you have time to cancel if you'd like. So that's a bit of protection. Also I'm not sure where that "one page" is located to access all of it is, maybe some California government site. If so, then that's additional credentials the user can protect.
