The legal systems seems to agree with what you want the desired outcome to be. I guess the only difference is you want to government to be able to have full control over everything, so they can take it instantly?
People should be more focused on their local and state governments, rather than thinking the federal goverment was designed to govern the whole population
a person from Virginia really has nothing in common with a person from California. Their lives and cultures are just totally different.

There are a lot of Mexican neighborhoods with a lot of authentic Mexican food in America.
Dont get me wrong, there is a lot of Americanized Mexican food. But I'd bet for every Qdoba/El Rancho, there is a local family Mexican restaurant with an old guy watching Mexican soap operas.

Those governments dont make as dramatic of TV though. So where peoples votes really count the most, most people aren't paying attention.
