Exactly which future Bears Quarterback are you comparing to the illustrious 2008 Lions combination of Danute Culpeper in his second to final year starting in the NFL, Dan Orlovsky in his first year starting, and the immortal backup Jon Kitna? This was a year before Stafford was even drafted, and four years before Megatron had his first all-pro season. What a massive cherry picking exercise. I'm not even saying MHJ is the future, but this is some soggy logic.

"Even the worst roster in NFL history had one really good player the season they were historically bad" is a take with exactly zero value.

There's no such thing as consensus in the NFL. The media money machine is built on the concept of disagreement as entertainment.

That being said, he was billed as all the good stuff Lovie did (Tampa 2, HITS, etc.) while being modern and capable of producing a modernized team that could compete. And that's why trying to recreate the past is just never a good idea.
