The nature of federated platforms is that every so often one of the instances decides it wants to take its ball and go home, and all of its members either return to centralized platforms or join up with other instances.
Beehaw leadership really seem hellbent on isolating Beehaw from the entire rest of the fediverse.

Lemmy has been pretty great so far. A lot of the best queer and trans subs have at least partially migrated. The vibes are comfy.
I think we should stick to our guns until Reddit capitulates. The blackout is very effective at disrupting the site's normal functions and getting the word out about 3rd party apps.
We have experimented with using a home media server through Plex. We got it to work, but we generally do not keep it running all the time.
