I was using Jerboa up until now and am now using Sync because I used it for Reddit.
....and that's it. I don't understand why this gets so much talk. There are so many options. Just use something. We all want Lemmy to grow so I don't see the problem.
I was taken a back by the prices at first too and I've made many comments how I still feel it's expensive, but bought it anyways because I am a long time user of Sync. I was mostly concerned about being able to convince others to buy it.
But the more I think about it, I feel it's deserved and I won't really complain about it anymore. It's such a great app and has earned it over the years. I still can't believe it's here on Lemmy. My brain really feels at home again. It's the good ol' days again.

True. The free version was fine. I tried it for a few hours. And when using list/compact view, I noticed I didn't even see any ads lol.
But figured I would pay anyways because I wanted to support.
I love Sync and will be using it going forward. But it's really great that there are so many options for everyone.

I paid for ad free because I want to help support this app and the developer.
However, I feel it's going to be very hard for me to convince others to use Sync. I am a long time user and so I have loyalty and I understand the benefit and so the money is worth it to me. It's also a nice way for me to give back after a decade of Sync for Reddit.
But I'm not sure I can convince newer folks with this price point.
That said, the app is great and I love it. Keep it up!
Man, this is depressing.
I paid to remove ads and support the developer because Sync is my favorite app for the past decade.
Having said that, I think the price is steep. I understand development has its cost and so I am more than willing to do my part, but this is going to be a hard sell for my friends or some others for sure.
The app is amazing though and I'm so happy to be back on Sync.
So hyped for this. I've completely moved on from Reddit and this will help solidify the decision. All the screenshots of the app up til now look really good.
