The author is very cross that people aren't infinitely tolerant of endlessly disproven bullshit.

Some questions have these things called "answers." We don't need to be open-minded about topics like psychic powers, vaccines, homeopathy, or quantum physics. The boundaries of their efficacy are well fucking explored. No stone was left unturned. Either they're real - and their implications have become engineering and practice - or they're nonsense. If we could make use of them, we would.

James Randi (1928–2020), whose career I considered in my October 26, 2020, article “The Man Who Destroyed Skepticism.”

Fuck off, crank.

The legal battle over arbitrary exclusion is a difficult fight by innocent victims.

Not having backups is a confession by morons with nobody to blame but themselves.

These two things can coincide.

You're just shuffling cards. You don't even understand there's an argument happening.

They sprayed from the ocean, on a boat.

Even then: 'They were only planning it in the future.' Yeah, man. That's when plans happen.

Even then: you think more clouds here means means fewer clouds elsewhere... but this can alter humidity, globally?

Even then: do you understand wet-bulb temperature is also about temperature?

Cloud seeding is a different thing. This is about adding humidity to the air, from sea level.

You do not understand this problem.

Sending energy to space, as light, is your proposed solution. What do you think clouds do?

Exactly how much paint do you imagine is necessary, versus cloud formations that are visible from the moon?

Women from Alderaan do not play.

Increased cloud cover could cause another ice age.

If we stopped all human energy use, immediately - the climate's still in deep shit.

My guy. Nudging your thermostat is not gonna make the wiggly line in the sidebar go back down.

Stopping sunlight from reaching the ocean, will.

Getting this out of the way: "With AI productivity, we expect to ship Half Life 3 by 2037."

Nothing good is allowed to happen ever again.

This article might be better, if it wasn't edited by Carrot Ironfounderson.

Relevant Techmoan video. It's an 8mm print, ostensibly in color, in an endless loop cartridge. The usual player was just a viewfinder, light window, and crank:

One of several Star Wars adaptations.

The edit of Alien which inspired this stupid idea.

What movies would be even sillier than that, when diced down to a thousand frames with no audio?
