This is just my personal opinion, but seeing two video game sets mixed into what looks like tv show names makes me feel like i’m playing or seeing a different game that i don’t like at all.
Honestly, this makes me sick to see. I didn't really know what to think after LTR and the other Modern Horizons sets, but this just looks so wrong.
I think there are fewer people playing both draft and constructed. The Explorer/Standard metas are kinda stale, but really, LTR draft is very boring now and Historic is overrun with Bowmasters and The One Ring. I'm hoping on Monday's ban announcement we see some changes to make constructed better, but draft is really not fun and we have another month of it.
FWIW it's been one of the most fun formats, especially for finishing your quests!

I'm just really happy they brought the Pro Tour back. I believe they stated it was over in lieu of a different professional tournament structure. But now it appears we have the Pro Tour in it's original form back? I'm still not 100% sure what the path is for someone to get into this tournament but it seems at least closer to what it was in the beginning.

PLEASE bring blocks back. The most fun I ever had was block constructed as a format. It sits between limited and standard and lets players into the lore more easily. You don't have to keep hopping around sets and mechanics every 2-3 months.
I'm curious what we see on August 7th's ban announcement. I can't imagine anything is going to be touched in Modern, definitely not Standard. I could see Historic nerfing The One Ring by making it have text saying "Only 1 copy can be in your deck" which would be a fantastic upgrade in my opinion. I could also see Historic nerfing Orcish Bowmasters but I don't think they're going to hit that one right now. It's a shame because of how many decks suffer from the ping but I don't think that's enough to warrant changing anything right now. Elves suffer, soul sisters/lifegain kinda suffers, those combo decks with Yawgmoth may or may not suffer much. Aggro is already difficult to play but I don't think it's that hard to overcome.

Very surprised to not see anything touched in Historic, but I guess they are free to make changes to that whenever and not on the same yearly schedule.
