I LOVE stonks day
Not Youtube, but Jean-Emmanuel DePraz streams on Twitch in French -- https://www.twitch.tv/jirock
I don't speak French but I still watch him from time to time, especially when he streams constructed.
Some actual good deals in here, 80% off a lot of playables
That would be a cool idea actually. Even just adding "When The Infinity Gauntlet leaves the battlefield, you lose the game." and probably cranking the casting cost up to 7.
I agree, I think they could honestly be rolling these out every month or two without any issue. It's 25 cards, when they add hundreds every set. Plus they clearly have time to add 25+ for each additional Alchemy expansion.
I was just joking with that card idea. It would be ridiculously game breaking.
I don't think we've gotten an announcement about it yet, but for reference, this is the release history for the Anthologies, the date is when they LEFT the store:
- Explorer Anthology 1 -- ended July 28, 2022
- Explorer Anthology 2 -- ended December 13, 2022
- Explorer Anthology 3 -- ended October 10, 2023
We had a LOONNGGG wait between 2 and 3, but I think the target is every 6 months. They should be every 3 months imo, I think we will see the next perhaps early next year, hopefully in February.
November 2–14: Historic All Access, Basically No Bans!
Can't wait to get back in there. I have some new brews and I can't wait to make a thread for them later 😛
I really wish they would turn this into a permanent queue but I can see why they don't.
The Infinity Gauntlet
WUBRG
Legendary Artifact
When The Infinity Gauntlet enters the battlefield, if you cast it, you gain protection from everything for the rest of the game.
"Perfectly balanced as all things should be."
I also agree that consolidating from 4 to 2 packs is a good move. One comment in the Youtube video was interesting though, and they mentioned that increasing the number of uncommons will make an already difficult task in collecting every uncommon even more difficult. It will also have a more profound impact on draft than I think people are aware of but that we obviously have to wait and see.
I only play Arena right now, and pretty much just draft and Historic. I would love to get back into real world paper drafting at my LGS but we have two young kids which makes it difficult. Once they're older I will be looking to get back into FNM and drafting in person again.
I really do like Arena but I worry the effect it has on the paper game. I also think Historic is the most fun format right now, and has the most diverse sets of decks so I'm thankful wotc makes it free for us to play it.
Has anyone played the Historical AA Basically no Bans yet? I was excited to try it but all of my decks were Channel decks (lol) and with Channel being banned, I'm not super interested anymore. I don't know why they banned anything tbh, I think the format stabilizes with everything playable.
