In February, far-right settlers went on a rampage in the West Bank town of Huwara torching dozens of houses and cars. Following the violence, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich called for Huwara to be “wiped out”.
Hmmm, I wonder what happened to the people rampaging in the town.
The IDF said in a statement to CNN that dozens of Israelis had “desecrated Palestinian property” and “acted violently against Palestinian residents” on February 26, but only several were arrested. All were released without charges.
Krasner’s Conviction Integrity Unit (CIU) took a fresh look at the convictions in 2021 and found that prosecutors "suppressed information from the defense that another individual may have had access to the murder weapon and this individual had knowledge of or was involved in the murder; that another homicide detective provided false testimony at trial about the investigation into this individual...
Paul Worrell was one of the detectives involved in getting the confessions, the DA's office said. He "is known to the court for a pattern and practice of eliciting false confessions dating back to at least 1992." Several of his other convictions have also been vacated.
How about they also go after the other cops, the ones who lied at trials instead of the just the one who lied AND sexually assaulted suspects to get false confessions, and the prosecutors who lied about not having evidence that would help defense attorneys. Here's an article about this specifically.
It turns out that code violations can result in a no-knock raid by SWAT in St Louis County, your dog getting killed, your children getting held at gunpoint, and your son threatened with getting 3 shots for speaking at all while a gun is pointed directly at his head.
What the actual fuck.

They knew and they went for it anyway. Typical.
