Wefwef is a PWA - a web app running from a browser rather than a native app.

The official App Store version is slightly out of date - here’s a note from the dev - https://lemmy.world/comment/871711
But it’ll be updated with the most recent fixes soon :)
You’re awesome, and I hope you sleep at some point, haha.
Yep. Fully open source on GitHub.
All credit to @gkd@lemmy.ml and the rest of the team whose Lemmy names I don’t know haha
Not that I’ve seen, but I know Mlem is hoping to get to MVP soon and I think they’re the next closest, everything else is still pretty early on the iOS side.
I’ve also tried several betas and Memmy has been my personal favorite since nearly day one (first build didn’t have dark mode, haha, but like 12 hours later there was a second build with dark mode and I’ve been here ever since). And the devs are amazing.
This is an exciting time. I know the fediverse has been around for a while but it still feels like getting on the ground floor of something both brand new and also harkening back to the old internet. It’s awesome.
I’ve been beta testing since day one - which was only 22 days ago. It’s amazing how great this app has gotten in such a short time.
Yep. I have two accounts on and switch between the two freely depending on server hiccups and such.
The ads are real bad if you don’t pay to not see them, and trending is dumb, but the most egregious thing is that you can’t sort your Home feed. It is stuck to “best” and the algorithm is terrible.
It used to have the ability to sort, but they removed it at some point, I’m not sure when because I had been using Apollo for years.
I took a look at the last iteration of Alien Blue (which can still be downloaded if you had it at some point but you can’t log into it anymore) and that 2014 app is still better.
It just makes me sad.
All credit to Gavin and the dev team, I’ve just been beta testing since early. It is an amazing app for sure!
