Older than amazon (I think?). DRM free as well and gives you all the options: https://www.baen.com/

Has a free library too: https://www.baen.com/allbooks/category/index/id/2012

You are at the edge of what I know :) If you find out, let the rest of us know. I only have vague and hand wavy knowledge at this point of lora slow means lots of latency. GL!

I know they dont all remove it, but man audio jack phones were awesome. My usbc adapter sucks and bluetooth is spotty and low res.

The people here are much nicer and inquisitive. It feels like im talking to a real person instead of just content bait. I dont need 1000+ comments per post for it to be successful, I just want real people talking to real people.

Plus we can have anyone talking with anyone here. Mastodon talking to lemmy talking to piefed, etc...etc....

In theory the protocol can support those formats. With meshtastic it's only designed for text. You can get some really basic emojis though since they are Unicode.

Agreed! I wish they could have worked with meshtastic instead of trying to get everyone off and using their project. Which is totally open source but not really.

I think the next year or so will be interesting in the space. Im just sitting here with my little nodes making an impromtu weather station.

Yeah its pretty spotty. A walky talkie would probably be better in an actual emergency. Im hoping meshcore or related projects will make it less spotty.

There may be some miscommunication. I ment that in order to use a majority of the meshtastic devices, they require the android or ios app + bluetooth. Not all, but a vast majority. And most of those will have access to a cell phone tower that will likely not go down, even in the event your neighborhood power goes off. At least where I am at. The devices have often been alluded to a disaster proof communications device. And an alternative to instant messaging. Its not as reliable as some other tech that is out there, but its a fun hobby!

Hope that makes more sense.

I've been stuck at this boss all day, it kinda sucks. There's quite a few undefendable moves. You can't even block when it goes to its third form and takes about 1/2 health with its attack. With a character they pulled out of their butts.

And to top it off, I ended up with zero hp here and the game is still running. This is an extremely frustrating and buggy experience. Going to take a break for a while, might even stop playing.

Somehow the game is continuing past 0hp. https://piped.chrisco.me/w/8pxMpZpXnw5QmU52catuJR
