Unfortunately you have to register your account again.

I’ll probably post here on Lemmy, but also via the broadcast function in PeerTube.

Possibly also a Mastodon account at some point.

True, but I wouldn’t want to have a wallen garden, like Instagram or Twitter, where it forces you to create a user.

It just means the server doesn’t have a general theme or topic. No gore.

Does the gTLD make you think otherwise? 😅

I’ll let you know 😄

That shouldn’t be more complicated.

It was a hit and miss if the video would actually load and running the Sia software took a lot more system resources that I would care for.

I already had some experience using the P600 with Plex.

It’s essentially just installing the nVidia drivers, install the HW transcoding plugin for PeerTube and then select the nvenc transcoder in the settings.

There’s some extra steps if using Docker or a VM.

Yes. If you scroll down to the bottom of this page, you can see all the plugins enabled.

I've recreated the channel, but all the videos from before is sadly lost.

Welcome to the Weekly Question Thread on c/guildwars2!

This post is dedicated to those questions that you might not think is worth making a whole post about, but sure is worth getting an answer to ;)

Remember to also take a look at the links in the sidebar, which holds lots of great resources.

Is there any particular line of dialogue or phrase that is your favourite and love hearing when you traverse the world? What about a funny conversation between NPC? Let's hear it!

I think most of you know this one:

More violets, I say! Less violence!

From the latest newsletter:

Catch your breath fast after the WvW beta, because on June 27 there'll be a new Fractal of the Mists to conquer - Silent Surf. As mentioned in the lastest studio update, this new fractal will deliver a tighter gameplay experience while still providing exciting story content.

Are you ready? A new threat emerges in the aftermath of the Jade Wind. Captain Thess and his Serpent Clan salvage crew arrive at the wreck of a trade convoy that recently departed for the Harvest Temple. Their search for fellow Luxon survivors leads them beneath the petrified sea, unaware of the growing evil that awaits them.

Only 6 more days to go!

You finally managed to create an account on a Lemmy server (instance)? Congratulations!

Now you are probably wondering what to do next... I can't tell you that. That's up to you, buddy!

Here are some suggestions though:

  • Lemmy Explorer Use this page to search for communities all a cross Lemmy. Even those that Lemmy.wtf doesn't know about yet.
  • With Sub.rehab, you are able to search for alternative communities to your favourit subreddits.
  • Start a new community by requesting it at c/community_requests

You are welcome to ask questions about Lemmy (the software) in this post or in this community: c/lemmy_support

As the title says, if you could only pick 3, which tracks are your absolute favourites?

I made it top 3, because I had a hard time only picking one :P

Here is my top 3:

There are so many others and my top 3 will probably be entirely different in a week.

Hi there,

In the documention under "troubleshooting", there are these commands you can try to see if things are working as they should:

curl -H "Accept: application/activity+json" https://your-instance.com/u/some-local-user

curl -H "Accept: application/activity+json" https://your-instance.com/c/some-local-community

curl -H "Accept: application/activity+json" https://your-instance.com/post/123 # the id of a local post

curl -H "Accept: application/activity+json" https://your-instance.com/comment/123 # the id of a local comment

However, I get this error:

curl: (7) Failed to connect to lemmy.wtf port 443 after 0 ms: Connection refused

When I try do:

curl -H "Accept: application/activity+json" https://lemmy.wtf/c/guildwars2

Lemmy.wtf seems to federate just fine with other Lemmy instances, however people on kbin.social is not able to see the communities at Lemmy.wtf.

If you try: https://kbin.social/m/guildwars2@lemmy.wtf, you will simply just get an error 404 and I'm not able to subscribe to any magazines on kbin.social as well.

I am using Cloudflared tunnel for Lemmy.wtf. Might that be the issue?
