You go your whole life not getting punched in the face, then one day I punch you in the face and tell you I’m going to punch you in the face every day. Then I tell you unless you make a deal with me I’m going to punch you in the face and kick you in the balls. Now, getting kicked in the boys is not fun, but you should still be mad at me for punching you in the face in the first place.

The tariffs only would have been higher because the same idiot that got the deal made the tariffs higher to begin with.

The only sort of lucky part for us Americans is if it’s approved we got the better end of the deal, but ultimately we’re going to be paying higher prices for things we’re likely unable to produce. Although I get the feeling that Italian Marble and French Wines will suddenly be exempt from tariffs.

The number of times I have to explain to people here in California that are my age that they did in fact take financial literacy, or that they were in fact taught skills like what to do during pregnancy is unfortunately too high. Tons of people like to talk about what schools need without realizing that it has it and they just didn’t pay attention.

My friends definitely think I’m weird cause I don’t use food delivery, but I see it from a germ perspective too. None of those drivers are certified food handler and their car is likely not a safe environment. I keep my cars spotless, but based on everyone’s car I’ve ever been in I’m the minority in that.

Every other point you made I agree with too, but man I just don’t see how people don’t also recognize that your food is travelling in someone else’s potential garbage. Just to save you from what? Getting up and grabbing some food yourself?

In these third places in Europe, can I film there? Would it be rude or possibly illegal to film there?

Y'all are wildly reading into something that’s pointless. You’re trying to beat someone down in your own class and finding ways to allow a divide in to separate you. These people reviewing food in their car aren’t your enemy. City planners, department of transportation, landlords, and CEOs are your enemy. They’re the ones that make the system the way it is that necessitates people having cars.

A third place isn’t going to solve this. No third place is going to be set for filming. Is going to be socially comfortable for filming. Just let these people exist and move the fuck on.

Capitalism requires consistent growth and most non-economists think it should be left unregulated. However I distinctly recall one person recently who pushed to add government controls and even said they didn’t care about the stock markets and what companies felt was best, and instead were doing what they felt best benefitted Americans.

So why is no one asking Trump the same question when he’s clearly going against (American) capitalism?

Modern family.

It’s just funny enough to be entertaining and has some loose plot that’s fine to follow. Easily forgettable, but great for throwing on. Also, it’s cool to watch the kids on that show grow up over its 10 year run.

Community

Parks and rec

Are others I would toss on for easy to watch. Although community and P&R hide a TON of jokes that make it even funnier if you pay attention.

Not to mention the absolute stars that man brings together in The Studio, but all of his projects.

Completely agree. We should have gotten rid of the law. It was born out of racism and restricts our rights in Cali.

The people of sh.it.just.works and Lemmy.world both loved to try and act like I was out of line for calling for open carry the other night. Unfortunately California state law doesn’t allow for it. I think that it’s the only way to get them to back off with the Marines, the National Guard and with ICE though. If they’re not going to be afraid of us then they’re never going to change and the people saying “don’t give them a reason to escalate” will keep saying that up to the first battles at which point they’ll run and cower.

Where does the goal post moving stop? It’s not an escalation of violence if you don’t use it. It’s a threat to escalate to violence. If they aren’t afraid of you then they’re not going to change.

When they declare martial law are you going to be saying the same thing and hoping by just chanting loudly you change their mind?

What’s the acceptable number of dead people before also showing you’re armed is acceptable? Is it 5? 10? Maybe 1000?

If you pull up with guns they may kill you, but you have a better fighting chance than not. Plus if you were already going to die, since you’re so kind to sacrifice some people, wouldn’t you rather take some of them with you?

You’re playing by a made up set of rules where you think you being more moral than them makes you superior but it makes you dead and a loser.
