Do the chandeliers look too big for the room size? The room is ten blocks tall and with only a one block elevation of the throne, the chandelier is directly in line with its peak. Not sure how to fix that. Might try a different through maybe from dark oak or pale oak. Any ideas would be appreciated. I probably don't need chandeliers. Could use light sources under the carpets but they help make it look more grand.

You are correct that they don't look good but I wanted blocks that are easily farmable. You would not notice them anyway because I take screenshots from far away. I might try lanterns but making end rods is slightly expensive and in my opinion it looks a bit modern. But thanks for the advice! :) I will consider other stuff like maybe shroom lights or frog lights instead. Might have to make a frog light farm. Plus, there are dark oak fences so that kind of obscures the blocks. Good idea though. I will try out different things.

Now I just gotta do the sides and the inside as well as fix up the terrain around it. I also might add glowstone to illuminate the windows.

Maybe you could use a different block like pale oak or iron blocks? Observatories would have large telescopes poking through. But fair enough.

Thanks! I got a burst of energy so I wanted to get it done. Then I can move onto the detailing phase.

Nice! Maybe you can make a telescope pointing out of it with non oxidized copper

That's a good idea thanks! I was thinking of doing something like that so that might be a better location for it.

I watched a video about this and the game does look strikingly similar in every biome and mechanic. There are seed-based voxel games that manage to do things differently like Valheim. However, I found it ironic that they did not sue Hytale yet.

well medieval people loved churches. Look at Cambridge. There are dozens of them. So cant go wrong with multiple ones. And traditionally the royalty would have their own services exclusively from commoners but of course your world does not have to adhere to those rules. And if you already have a cathedral then it makes sense not to repeat the build. House of Lords would be cool but to me that does not really seem like a castle though definitely an administrative building. So maybe I misunderstood what you wanted. I say try it out in creative mode first and use real world pics to help you perhaps. Good luck!

You could design it like a Norman castle perhaps? Sounds like that real life version

then I think it makes sense to have a decent size throne room, because they would need to have guests from the settlement to solve disputes and problems and messengers from other kingdoms. Maybe make some hallways and rooms? Norman castles liked to have the throne room at the top of the castle but others had it differently. Many castles were also living quarters so they would have things like bedrooms, servants quarters, barracks, kitchen, great hall (for feasting), library, even a blacksmith and place of worship etc.

I replaced the power button and battery on my android phone. Managed to fix it by watching YouTube tutorials.

I have more pics of it on another PC. I am on my laptop right now. I might post them tomorrow. Well my throne room was quite open plan but I added pillars and archways. Also filled up the space with some fish tanks and chairs and tables. I wanted it to be more open because it was meant to be grand and overwhelming. More like the interior of a palace rather than a castle though the outside is more like a castle. Not sure how to explain it. Depends what type of castle you are making? Is it purely defensive? If so, then nothing wrong with having a smaller room maybe two or three chunks wide?

One of my first proper mega builds! It had a full interior and garden and more builds inside the walls.
