Is someone a very good friend if they won’t communicate with you because you won’t use their preferred app? That’s the real question you’ve presented.
You don’t have to compromise your values due to peer pressure.
You seem confused, if you’re trying to talk someone into using your preferred app that they may know nothing about, then you’re the one engaging in peer pressure, not the other way around.
As it turns out, the rumours discussed by some outlets are based on the “IoT Enterprise Subscription” of Windows 11, not Windows vNext. For those unaware, Windows 24H2 or Windows vNext is what Windows 12 is being called publicly. As you can see in the above screenshots, the “subscription” code strings found in the preview builds are associated with a new Enterprise version of Windows 11 loT and have nothing to do with Windows 12 or future versions of the OS.
I’m not saying to use it or to not switch to linux, but maybe this isn’t that much of a concern.
I’d be more concerned about
the next version of Windows will be heavily integrated with AI and cloud capabilities.

Unfortunately we have a Republican population here, so there are Trumpers about, but for the most part you can’t pick them out unless they start talking to you… but there’s this one lifted pickup truck with huge tires, decorated in Trump decals and flying multiple Trump flags, and most of the time when you see it, they’re hootin and hollerin about something that’s just different than what’s usual around here. It’s just the weirdest thing to see, people will stop and stare at it as it goes by and then will be frozen in place looking at each other for a few moments after it’s gone.
