“X” as a dating app sounds like converting from a pornhub to an escort service.
Having to swipe left on family members would make it a little different and weird.
Nope, somehow all of that potential abuse is still free.
Ok, nvm, turns out that the setting in Memmy to “Hide Read Posts” sets that option at the Lemmy instance level instead of just within the app as I’m used to. So turning that on meant posts were hidden under all my Lemmy apps.
Related: requesting ability to mark posts read just within the app, and the ability to quickly show/hide read posts from the feed screen.
See Avelon for a good example of this.
edit: if there was a quick option on the main and community feeds to show/hide read posts that’s effectively the same as using the option from settings, that would also be good. But it’s a pain to have to Settings->Content->Mark Read Options->Show Read Posts (toggle) every time you want to see what’s hidden and vice versa.

That’s only if you care about the GeForce Experience software, I don’t even have it installed so it doesn’t bug me about updates. You can download and install drivers any time without signing in to an account.
