I installed my Schlage Connect Zwave lock about a year and a half ago. It’s been working fine since then. The other day (oddly, right after moving the lock from SmartThings to Home Assistant) it started to make a high-pitched noise after opening or closing. Now, the lock seems to try to open or close and makes a higher pitch noise but the deadbolt does not move.

Seems like gears are not engaging.

I can manually open and close the lock and there is no binding. Nothing is stuck.

Anyone else ever have this problem? Is it fixable? Could it possibly be related to moving the lock to a different system? (Seems coincidental to me)

Thanks in Advance.

I have three fans in my house controlled by these remotes and wall switches and the lights are constantly left on when no one is in the room. I would like to shut them off automatically when the room is empty.
I believe the wall switches are just remotes. How can I automate a fan controlled by these? I have a Broadlink RM4 pro that couldn’t learn the buttons. Anyone know what radio frequency these use? Any other ideas? Or do I just need to replace the controllers with something like the TreatLife wall/fan switch…or replace the entire fan with a smart one? Thanks! M
