The first i heard about this was on reddit, so I'm gonna assume its entirely false and unrelated. I would bet they are still going through with it.
i watch twitch streams pretty much all day on my second screen laptop.
I'm hearing the nextgen Zen 5 cpus are coming in first half of 2024, so I'm waiting on that as well.
Re-seated my Noctua CPU Fan with a fresh layer of kryonaut, dropped cpu idle/load temps by 10 degrees. Feeling very accomplished today. PC running much quieter now

They were always being cached, but lemmy uses a serviceworker, and the serviceworker has its own image cache separate from normal browser image cache. This cache is slow as dogshit, so i just removed it so that the native image cache kicked in.
