Someone was posting Escort ads in the memes channel.

OP might want to change that username

The company ended June with more than 238 million subscribers, adding 5.9 million members since March.

Doesn't confirm if that's better or worse off though since this whole thing started

Ok this is actually pretty cool. So I gave this a try and what I found in the first few mins of using it:

  • you can login anonymously or with your own Google account (anonymous logs you into one of their shared Gmail accounts which personally I don't like the idea of)
  • it manages all existing apps too, so you can use it as a drop in replacement for the play store.
  • Updates aren't as well, there doesn't appear to be a background update option as android requires you to confirm if you wish to install the update for each app.

Overall solid app. I don't spend a lot of time in the PlayStore so the ads themselves don't bother me. The moment though I begin getting pop up ads / notifications I'll be jumping to this full time though

The issue I have with these alternatives is the compatible apps list is short. You may as well just flash your standard phone with LineageOS or GrapheneOS, atleast you can sideload some android apps on those where needed.

Or install through powershell

Oh god. I don't even think I want to know

I don't use banking websites, I just use the app so can't confirm. I would imagine it'll be down to the default cookie blocking which you can edit in the settings though if it causes issues for you

Can confirm. Started using it yesterday after another comment. It's pretty much plain FF, so works well right out of the gate. I enabled some features in the setting like Firefox sync and allow DRM media, but I'm really liking it.

Have started using it today, can confirm it's just an option to toggle in the settings

You are the weakest kink goodbye
