Most likely. I imagine either with the next MacOS release or the one that follows, it will be Apple Silicon only that receives the update.

The first one. Like the 2007 Steve Jobs saying this is the iPhone, iPhone. I remember I didn’t have a data plan on it and could only use it on WiFi, then just calls and sms text messages.
