I am watching a bunch but the only one I consider good is Kusuriya no Hitorigoto. I'm also watching Frieren but this second part has been quite bad and I barely care about anything, so it doesn't count

saying "yuri is for the male gaze" is only possible if you have never read yuri... at all like, there are works that are meant for a male(?) audience but they are just a small minority in a genre that is clearly written from women for women (can't remember a single one that is not hentai tho, but pretty sure they are somewhere there)

what i would agree is that there is many "yuri bait" in anime that never resolves and is probably meant for fetishization but even then some of that can be simplified as "author didn't made it explicit to avoid backlash on something and the fandom can't accept anything that is not explicitly said"

RANT OFF

and yes. Josei is really a category full of gems. there are so many good stories there but usually requires some work to discover and to get

i always feel like i'm part of a very small group that preferred GZ over TPP. I still replay GZ from time to time while i just played TPP once and didn't even finish most of the side things

it is very funny that i learned about this because i was in the middle of re-downloading some games i lost during a disk accident last year. i could download a couple before the links fully dissapeared, making me wonder if i got banned or sumething

i totally understand that there are people that don't like coffee and will never regardless of how fresh it is, but most of the times we have met someone that does not like it its because they equate coffee with instant- or automatic machine with old beans coffee.

if people would be able to test different profiles and notice how different the flavour is between them (something like a light roast paper filtered vs a dark roast moka), maybe they would be able to understand there is a lot to explore into coffee and maybe even find a profile they enjoy.

autistic protagonist acting like a cat is just enough tbh (haven't seen the video yet)

fully agree. the main reason I listen to music with lyrics in any language I cannot immediately understand is to avoid hating the song because of the lyrics. I have stopped listening to many songs because I learned their language and started understanding the lyrics

that scene was quite hard to read. as much as i love the manga it is sometimes hard to read to the point i suffer in pain the same way the main character does

i'm talking about Adachi to Shimamura of course

my biggest fear is that they might actually change the feeling. as bad as toei's version is and as hated the original artstyle is, it really fits the begining of the series when everything was way simpler than it is now. it would have been better if they adopted one pace and made it official with some redraws here and there, but it was obviously not happening.

as much as i love one piece, having a new adaptation bringing nothing new is a waste of effort
