It's for this human shield behaviour that this could be the beginning of the end for the whole of Palestine. Israel doesn't care anymore, so any civilians are going to be in the firing line too. All Hamas needs to do to bring about the end of Palestine is to keep using Palestinians as meat shields.
It could well be the end of Palestine. I hardly see Netanyahoo stopping until Hamas is completely wiped out. Israel is on a warpath now, and any civilian human shields Hamas tries to put in the way are going to be destroyed as well because Israel DGAF now.
In the end, Israel is going to commit more atrocities than Hamas in total. And by that point there may not be a Palestine left.

I think everything would need to be replaced, the gear sizes and likely spacings would be all different. Not a game-breaking issue. The main hitch will be getting a cassette that is the right width.
