Can you specify the minute window, or does it have to be from the start?

Like, they used 198 lasers, or they used 98% of each of the 200 lasers?

"Near limitless energy". ..

OK what are the limits? Preferably absurd answers please..

Hades should be on this list. Like near the top.

Depends on the video, but if it's for learning, like a tutorial on how to use a piece of software, I'll usually have to speed it up or I can't focus on it.

It sure makes you much less of a boring person to talk to.

My DE is Gnome which uses a bit. Haven't really looked into it further, because I still have 62GB of ram free after startx. Haven't maxed it out yet.

After boot, I'm using 2GB. I haven't noticed Linux doing the ram-hog thing like Windows at all. But Firefox is currently using 8GB.

Just restarted Firefox and it's using 2.5GB now. I think it stores a lot in ram from video.

If they aren't 'The State' then it sounds like they were unlucky or didn't follow the instructions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeurjIY3__o

But I have no idea..

This news gives me confidence that fusion is now only 9 years away.

A country can have multiple cultures within it, and cultures can be spread across countries, but a country is a line on a map, not a set of customs and traditions etc. They can align of course, but they aren't the same thing. People can be proud of and represent both, but you can't choose which country you were born in.

It sounds like maybe a better word would be patriotism?

Oh fuck...

Really?

A mum says to the exchange student "heres a mum tip: hang up your clothes properly like this instead of all bunched up and it will dry a lot faster"

I immediately follow with "here's a dad tip: you can keep doing it wrong 4 or 5 times before you get yelled at"

I'm an hour early for the bus and trying to decide on what to eat so I can past the 2 hours until I get to the eating point. Can't decide what to eat. Too anxious. Dumplings, I'll eat dumplings. Something about using chopsticks I really enjoy.

Bus leaves in 30 minutes, the stop is 5 minutes walk away. I have my dumplings. Still so anxious. I arrive at the bus stop and eat my dumplings. Its now 15 minutes til the bus leaves, I'm exactly on time.

Finally some relief when I'm sitting in the bus checked in and ready to go.

I'm going on holiday to ride mountain bikes for 5 days. I should be excited.

Anyone else gets this?

The lithium situation is far worse than anyone has realised yet.

Oil is out, batteries are out.

We need smarter solutions that work with the environment, not exploit it.

Watch the video and tell me you didn't say '... holy fuck.'

Can we have some rules about titles and spoilers in the sidebar?

Maybe we should have some posts for favourite episodes and characters to get some conversations started?

Steam enshittified their client apparently,

Anyone else having issues with it? I'm on Arch with Gnome.

I find things don't work properly now, family view gets stuck, file browser doesn't load or takes AAAGES and is laggy as hell.

Generally more laggy.

I tried to find a way to roll back, but apparently there isn't.

Just me?

Does anyone know of a way to do this? Currently the only options are Subscribed, Local, and All, but it would be way better to choose the instance in 'Local'. All is a bit much to be able to find anything.

Like in https://lemmy.nz/communities being able to change which instance you are viewing communities from.

Also, there doesn't seem to be any option to sort lists of communities by comments/users/etc

Any of you guys get wonkybox delivered?

This week's included gold beetroot and apache potatoes which I've never seen in my life.

Looking to share (well.. mostly receive I guess) tips on what to cook up, how to use what's in the box best etc
