Download them now and then who cares?

This is the answer we all needed.

At this point, it's not the communities, it's the engagement.

I wish I could remember the origin, but I had perhaps 1 hour of contiguous sleep last night so I'm operating at 10% normal acuity.

The TL;DR was, even with adequate distribution, we would still be operating at above sustainable levels in terms of emissions.

Today, climate change is a right now problem

Only for a significant majority of humanity. And species in general. You just gotta hustle and get that bunker built and you'll be all good. Climate change is a hoax anyway, I saw a picture once of the ocean in the 50s, and a recent picture with no reference to tides, and the water levels were the roughly the same from about 500 metres away.

I think this is entirely the reason..

Thanks, but I'll pass on Vagante. The last time I tried a rogue-like (Hades) it took over my life. I dread the day Hades 2 is released..

Can you remove the GPU and use onboard?

It is mentioning gpu in the errors, so it would be the first thing I would try, to see if the errors change, because I have no idea what's going on here

Finally. Starforge has been an embarrassment for too long.

You just hit the delete key one too many times, so there is a pending 'delete' action that will apply to the next email to arrive.

I'm able to set the default terminal using dconf-editor at this path:

org/cinnamon/desktop/applications/terminal/exec

in the Custom value field.

How can I add options to that, like a --fullscreen?

If I add options, it doesn't work, like for this custom value:

cool-retro-term --fullscreen

I just had a run before, and towards the end I can feel that knee stiffness typical of IT band (I'm going to foam roll etc and sort that out), but..

I was sitting down and noticed my kneecap is slightly irritable. I just started moving the skin around on my kneecap to find out where the pain is coming from and had a sharp twinge of pain. I wasn't being forceful in any way.

On my left knee it's on the right side, at the bottom that it's painful.

I think tendon pain, right?

Fun fact, I recently promoted Lemmy on r/place (it's the only reason I go on reddit now. Not for place, but to promote Lemmy) and all my comments were removed a few hours after.

Just confirming

I feel like I'll be able to run indefinitely soon!

My knees hurt though, it's tendon or fascia pain though, not joint or muscle

So after Ordinary Thing's latest video, I was reminded again how much I don't care about diamonds, and actually the whole 'present a ring and blah blah' thing really doesn't sit well with me.

I get that if I were to be in love enough to want to commit the rest of my life, I would want to demonstrate that effectively, but crystals stuck to a metal ring just doesn't do it for me.

Like, maybe 'here's a life changing trip for just the two of us around south east asia' or 'come live in Latin America with me for 2 months' or something that feels significant.. Diamonds just aren't it. Symbolic yes, I get it.

Am I alone feeling this way?

.. and then put them down somewhere and lost them immediately 🤦

No.

Unless you're doing it wrong by like.. adding sugar or something.

Time for another cup, I had 2 large heaped teaspoons of Gyokuro this morning, now I'll have some China Jasmine.

Nice relaxing and well narrated amateur documentary on tea

..When you're walking through the supermarket?

Like this all could be over in a few years? Our life of quiet convenience and ease, not having to fight or hunt for food. Lives not in constant danger.

And how will we look back on these times? They are good times. Not always, not for everyone, but for most of us. We will look back and remember people quietly going about their business, selecting which juice to buy, contemplating recipes.

I have no idea how bad things will get, or even if entire economies are going to collapse and bring Venezuela level suffering to everyone. But they might.. And that thought played on my mind when I visited the supermarket to buy garlic salt and eco-friendly sandwich bags.
