Yeah, a bad one - a hyper-secire app that no one uses doesn't exactly advance secure communications. That plus wasting dev hours on stories are the dumbest moves I've seen the org take and sure enough, all my friends who really only used signal for a few group chats dropped it all together with the SMS change.
I have a color model and it has some mild DRM around toner that can be silenced - so more of a warning

Any z-wave or ZigBee lock like those from Schlage are great. You can then integrate it into Home Assistant where there are great integrations like keymaster that make it super simple to do management like what you've mentioned
My experience has been that on steep, snowy roads heavy EVs struggle. It could have been that they all had the wrong tires but going up Berthoud pass I've seen a handful of Tesla Ys and Xs doing their best Tokyo drift impressions trying to just get up the hill - virtually zero traction and sideways struggling to even stay moving much less staying in their lane
