i have a friend that used to work at a hotdog stand in antarctica, and he'd let huge containers of the unholy water freeze outside to carve ice sculptures, igloos and such. sometimes, colonies of penguins pass by and he'll sell hundreds of thousands of hotdogs, then launch little icebergs of all the frozen waste water. does that make all the oceans tainted?

i think you have a narrow view of what education is. this is subjective but my view of education is that it's an emergent property; as long as there's different individuals that know different skills, natural networks will form of people teaching to anyone that wants to learn.

whether it's institutions with professors teaching about quantum physics and brain surgery, to herds of dinosaurs teaching groups of young their migration paths and dangers to avoid; it's all within my personal concept of what education is

nothing is futile, convince other voters that the MP isn't listening and shouldn't be your representative anymore. if your mind is set for giving up on government action, then support third party organizations that build ev chargers and teach people how to run and maintain them and stuff. i agree that we need more accountability for elected officials, but to get electoral reform you still need your MP to vote for it. i don't think it's good to completely give up on participating as a citizen within a state, though we still need some direct action as a form of direct democracy outside of established structures and systems
