People tried to claim he wasn't a "true #1".
Dude has put up great numbers despite spending his whole career on the Panthers and Bears. Imagine if he was on a team with a real franchise QB.

Did you believe people when they said there would be no more excuses for Fields?
I didn't either.
Passer rating is an obsolete stat that no one cares about anymore.
Fields is 21st in ANY/A. He's not terrible like Zach Wilson, but he's also a tier below league average guys like Carr and Mayfield.
His PFF grade for passing last week was like 50.
I don't understand why so many of you have such low standards. I think Justin is a great dude and it hurts that he's just not a good QB - but that's the truth. There's a decent case to be made that he's not even as good as Trubisky.
Someone posted it on r/NFL last night. The Bears actually aren't even in the top half when it comes to screen play frequency overall this year.
We ran a lot of screens last night, but we don't run that many overall.
MHJr and Fields were never on the same OSU team
I mean that kind of means he can't consistently make the throws. He has the arm for it - but he consistently misses reads and/or just can't pull the trigger on anticipation throws.
It's maddening to watch - every game there are too many plays where I'm yelling "throw the fucking ball"
Fields continues to either miss reads or be too gun shy to pull the trigger.
I shouted "throw the fucking ball" way too many times last night.
The problem has always been intermediate throws with Fields, not deep throws. Unfortunately intermediate throws are the most important throws in the NFL.
You joke - but holy shit half our sub wants to keep him.
Team subs are some of the most deranged places on the internet. I should check out the Patriots sub, supposedly there are still Mac Jones supporters there.
You guys are NFL Iowa - even have the same color scheme.
The Steelers just managed to dump their shitty OC mid season instead of after the season (probably because Canada isn't Tomlin's son lol)
Tomlin is the Kirk Ferentz of the NFL.
Absolutely not - the Bears have talent, we just need a QB. If we hit on the draft at QB (obviously that's the key to everything and no easy task) and then grab a center and another WR the offense could be quite good on offense very soon.
